Catsitting for a coworker and I forgot my laptop charger... Websurfing on a BlackBerry sucks.

I went to Thailand last weekend for Songkran, the Thai New Year. The main feature for tourists is everyone running around with squirt guns and buckets of water soaking each other. It was really fun - definitely one of my favorite holidays anywhere. I really like Thailand in general as well; I think I might try Bangkok after Singapore if I don't head back to the US. No pictures this time - I had a camera for once but was afraid it would get soaked if I pulled it out.

I'm heading to Japan on Sunday, looking forward to seeing gardenprophet and hanging out in Tokyo / Yokohama.

I am officially registered for the Rickshaw Run. I'm working on our web page now, hope to have it up in a week or two. It'll mainly have the route and details about making charitable contributions until we actually head to India nine months from now.

In the sucky news department, the move I was looking forward to isn't happening, which is really annoying cause it was a lot better than my current place and I'd already told my roommates I was moving out, fortunately they hadn't started looking for replacements so I can stay until I feel like looking again. That may be awhile, cause I'm really sick of it. The market here is horrible for renters; pretty much everything is up 50% to 100% over when I arrived, and a couple of my coworkers need to move because their 2 year leases are expiring and the rent is more than doubling.

I've booked my flight to Tokyo, arriving March 16th and leaving March 23rd. I love frequent flier miles.

Not sure where I'll go yet, except of course the Tokyo area. Plenty of stuff to see there, so maybe I'll wait for another trip to go other places. Every time I fly Star Alliance to the US I get a free trip to Japan*! :D

Looks like I'll be harassing gardenprophet as well.

*On United, but what are you going to do. Except for the United hub at Narita, the furthest you can go on 20,000 miles are all countries I can fly to for less than 200 Sing anyway.
